General Dredging Course

The General Dredging Course is a two-week open course, focused on the design and operation of various types of dredging equipment and covers all aspects of dredging, such as dredging processes, equipment selection, soil characteristics, automation and control and dredge project management.

Several excursions to nearby dredging projects and shipyards, specialised in the design of dredging equipment, are included.

The General Dredging Course is aimed at managers as well as technical and operational staff involved in dredging operations, such as those working for dredging companies, port authorities and consultants. The course will benefit those with a technical education, but limited knowledge of, and experience in, dredging. The course will further improve their knowledge, resulting in more effective use of dredging equipment
